2. Rigorous multiscale methods for partial differential equations

Patrick Henning, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany
An introduction to numerical homogenization beyond scale separation

Yalchin Efendiev, Texas A&M University, United States of America
Multiscale modeling subgrid effects and temporal splitting

3. Randomized numerical linear algebra

Petros Drineas, Purdue University, United States of America
Randomization in Numerical Linear Algebra (RandNLA)

Randomized Linear Algebra for Interior Point Methods

Per-Gunnar Martinsson, The University of Texas, United States of America
Randomized algorithms for linear algebraic computations

Randomized embeddings: theory and practice

One-minute Poster Session 2021

Each PhD student was invited to present a poster on his/her research, in a one-minute time slot on Thursday morning, to attract attention to the poster.

The following posters were rated as the best by a jury consisting of the three keynote speakers who were physically present:

First place: Sohely Sharmin, University of Hasselt

Second place: Emil Loevbak, KU Leuven

Third place: Jacob Snoeijer, University of Antwerp

All posters can be viewed here.
