Dear members of the scientific computing community,

We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming 53rd Netherlands Mathematical Congress (NMC 2017).
As you may know, it will be held in Utrecht on April 11 and 12, 2017.

The program includes plenary lectures by Henry Cohn, Jos Leys, and Konstantin Mischaikow.
Semi-plenary lectures are given by Dion Gijswijt, Nelly Litvak, Natasha Maurits, and Bob Rink.
Moreover, there will be seven minisymposia (GQT, STAR, Optimization, Scientific Computing,
Rationals Points, NDNS+, Stieltjesprijs Symposium by Wonder) with invited speakers, as well as a poster session.

The Brouwer medal will be awarded to Kenneth Ribet, who will give a plenary lecture at the conference on April 11, 2017 from 16:30 to 17:30.
The evening program afterwards consists of a reception at the Koningsbergergebouw and the conference dinner at the Academiegebouw.

Our community is well represented on Tuesday April 11 in the Scientific Computing minisymposium
with speakers Christoph Brune (Twente), Albert-Jan Yzelman (Huawei Research France), Martin van Gijzen (TU Delft)
and Willem Hundsdorfer (CWI), and on Wednesday April 12 in the NDNS+ minisymposium with speakers
