The Research Community Scientific Computing (formerly called Numerieke
Wiskunde) unites scientific researchers in and users of numerical mathematics
and computational fluid dynamics.
The most important WSC goal is transfer of knowledge.
A main activity is the yearly Woudschoten conference Numerical Mathematics which
WSC organizes in co-operation with the numerical community from Flanders.
Through the WSC, members can convene their workshops, symposia and other scientific
meetings of national interest.
The WSC co-operates with the Netherlands Contact Group Computational Fluid Dynamics (KNS).
A committee of representatives from universities, research institutes and companies
forms the board.
The Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam provides
organizational support.
